Attention: Amendments have been made to the Onsite Wastewater Management System (OWMS) Regulation that relate to the timeline for properties with onsite wastewater systems to connect to new or existing wastewater collection infrastructure. Please check out the OWMS FAQ Sheet for more information.
Serviced properties must be connected to the existing wastewater collection infrastructure:
- within 10 years from when the property becomes serviced by a wastewater collection system, OR
- upon transfer or subdivision of the land, whichever comes first.
It is restricted to Discharge Storm Water from the drainage system to the public sewer system.
Also, please DO NOT flush J-Cloths, rags, diapers, diaper wipes or clothing, feminine hygiene products and other into the sewer system as they do not disintegrate and cause the sewer lines to plug.
We are asking for your cooperation by disposing of these items in the garbage only!
