Services to Seniors partners with local, non-profit organizations to deliver community programs. Coordinators recruit and place volunteers to assist older adults (55 +) and low income adults to maintain their independent living status. Services vary based on local need, but may include:
- Safety Checks
- Errands and deliveries
- Completion of forms
- Free Income tax
- Friendly visiting
- Health fairs and newsletters
- Information and referral
- Emergency Response Information Kit (ERIK)
- Support Groups
- Translations
Transportation to appointments, outings, shopping, special events, etc. in which the driver utilizes his/her own vehicle are also offered on a fee-for-service basis.
Clients will be responsible for paying mileage to the driver at the following rates:
- mileage calculated at $0.50/km
